The project focus on improving access to quality, client-centered RMNCAH services.

The USAID Afya Yangu - RMNCAH project is dedicated to improving access to high-quality, client-centered reproductive, maternal, newborn, child, and adolescent health (RMNCAH) services in Tanzania. By strengthening health systems and enhancing service delivery, the project ensures that vulnerable populations, particularly women, children, and adolescents, receive the care they need to lead healthier lives. A key objective of the project is to expand access to essential RMNCAH services, especially in underserved communities. It seeks to improve the quality and efficiency of healthcare delivery by strengthening health systems and ensuring that healthcare providers are well-equipped to offer effective services. Additionally, the project promotes community engagement and awareness to increase the uptake of maternal and child health services while fostering collaboration between government agencies, healthcare institutions, and civil society organizations to achieve sustainable health outcomes.

Enhancing Access to Quality Reproductive, Maternal, Newborn, Child, and Adolescent Health Services

The project is being implemented across several regions in Tanzania, with a focus on areas that experience significant challenges in accessing healthcare. These regions are selected based on high maternal and child mortality rates, as well as the urgent need to strengthen RMNCAH service delivery. ASUTA plays a crucial role in the USAID Afya Yangu - RMNCAH project by conducting community outreach programs to raise awareness about reproductive, maternal, and child health. Additionally, ASUTA supports capacity-building initiatives for healthcare providers to ensure they offer high-quality, client-centered care. The organization also engages in advocacy and policy dialogue to strengthen RMNCAH service delivery at both local and national levels. Furthermore, ASUTA works closely with communities to identify and address barriers to healthcare access, ensuring that more people can benefit from essential health services. ASUTA contributes to creating a healthier future for women, children, and adolescents. The organization helps ensure that communities receive the critical services they need to thrive by addressing key challenges in healthcare accessibility and quality.
